Michael Lamb of Turnaround for Children Presents at Fall Learn24 Conference
Turnaround for Children’s Michael Lamb presented to youth development practitioners working in out-of-school time programs at the Fall Learn24 Conference in Washington D.C.
Lamb gave a keynote titled: The Power You Carry: Become A Brain-Builder To Help All Children Thrive. His keynote highlighted the emerging scientific research on how children develop and learn, and called out strategies for youth development practitioners to unlock the potential in each child, no matter their start in life.
Prior to his keynote, Lamb led a workshop on the science of learning and development where he gave the audience an introduction to brain science; the science of trauma and adverse childhood experiences; and Turnaround’s Building Blocks for Learning framework.
The purpose of the one-day conference, hosted by the Institute for Youth Development, was to empower practitioners with best practices, innovative strategies, knowledge and skills necessary to improve youth outcomes in the District.
